Okay, can we just stop and admire Nicole Kidman who looks like a freaking life-sized Barbie doll in this scene? Other than that the movie sucked (at least the remaining fifteen minutes of it). Of course, Frank Oz wanted a humorous take on the 1975 adaptation but seriously? Microchips? The movie has promise, however. And it’s funny, too. Too bad, it fell short. I’m watching the movie again since I finished reading the book earlier and I have to say, the book was much more haunting. Why can they just stick to the original source material?
